Today I will review the best mods for the Nightsister Spirit, a member of SWGoH since the October 2017 Nightsisters rework and a member of the new Great Mothers Nightsister team. During my time at Gaming-fans.com I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. While I enjoyed our brief time with a communicative Capital Games consistently working myself and the other SWGoH GameChangers, there was an inability to support that level of community engagement from within CG, so I became just another member of the community, only with a bit more of a public voice. Now that my days with Gaming-fans.com are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today with the Best Mods for the Nightsister Spirit.
Nightsister Spirit is described as “Veiled Nightsister Attacker who Dispels, Stuns, and gains Foresight.” Thanks to the addition of the Great Mothers in SWGoH, her value has increased greatly in the second half of 2024 alongside the Nightsister Acolyte. Let’s take a look at how we want to focus the mod stat gains for Nightsister Spirit in Galaxy of Heroes to help you dominate the holotables.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Nightsister Spirit, it is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
While I have been writing about Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, for years, it was during the October 2017 Nightsisters rework that I wrote the original mods guide for the Nightsister Spirit. Typically, these mod guides do not change much over time, but anytime a new character is introduced to enhance older characters, it is always wise to revisit our modding to ensure it is optimal.
For the Nightsister Spirit, it is expected that you will be using her under a Great Mothers lead, thus gaining the 30 Speed, and +30% Max Health and Defense. Boosting both Health and Defense will of course make this more effective and help keep her alive. Because she is also likely alongside Morgan Elsbeth, Nightsister Spirit will gain 20% Offense and recover 25% Protection when she gains Foresight, so added Protection and Offense are important. Because her kit is focused on physical damage and not crits, an Offense set is a strong option. While Spirit needs Speed, her base Speed of 173 is right on the border of where I would have a Speed set be considered. Potency is needed to help her land the Stun from her special attack Possess.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
When I wrote the original Nightsister Spirit mods guide in 2017 I recommended Offense & Potency sets, then I proceeded to mod my Nightsister Spirit with Speed & Health mods. While she has not been a key character on my roster over the years, it shows how you can try different mod combos however you want, but the key is boosting key stats. The developers of SWGoH have recommended Offense & Potency mods on the Nightsister Spirit and I do not disagree, but will offer the option of Health mods over Potency if you get the right secondary stat boosts. Thus, here is what I am recommending for the best mods for Nightsister Spirit:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Nightsister Spirit, you want to use a POTENCY or HEALTH mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, offense, health and potency or defense.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Nightsister Spirit, you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on offense, health, potency and defense.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Nightsister Spirit, you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, offense, potency, health or defense.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Nightsister Spirit, you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a primary focus on Offense or Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, potency, health and offense or defense.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, and the Nightsister Spirit benefits more from a higher Health stat than Protection, so use a – OFFENSE mod with a health primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, offense, potency and defense.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Nightsister Spirit, you want to use a POTENCY mod here with an offense focus, or a HEALTH mod (if you go for the Health set) with a Potency focus. If you go with the Potency mod, for the secondary stats, look to add speed, offense, health and defense. If you go the Health route your secondary gains need to be in speed, potency, offense and defense.
