Today I will review the best mods for the Nightsister Acolyte, a long-time member of SWGoH and a key component of the new Great Mothers Nightsister team. During my time at Gaming-fans.com I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. While I enjoyed our brief time with a communicative Capital Games consistently working myself and the other SWGoH GameChangers, there was an inability to support that level of community engagement from within CG, so I became just another member of the community, only with a bit more of a public voice. Now that my days with Gaming-fans.com are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today with the Best Mods for the Nightsister Acolyte.
Nightsister Acolyte is described as “Stealth attacker with some enemy debuffing and self healing ability,” and this is a very accurate portrayal of what a solid Nightsister Acolyte can be in this game. With the proper gear and mods she can be a very valuable and annoying character to face, and thanks to the addition of the Great Mothers in SWGoH, her value has increased greatly in the second half of 2024. Let’s take a look at how we want to focus the mod stat gains for Nightsister Acolyte in Galaxy of Heroes.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Nightsister Acolyte, it is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
While I have been writing about Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, for years, it was just after the October 2017 Nightsisters rework that I wrote the mods guide for the Nightsister Acolyte. Typically, these mod guides do not change much over time, but anytime a new character is introduced to enhance older characters, it is always wise to revisit our modding to ensure it is optimal.
For the Nightsister Acolyte, you want her fast, able to hit hard and with solid Health and Defense to stay alive. While her base Speed is outpaced by nearly every new character added in the game, under a Great Mothers lead she will gain +30 Speed, so a Speed set should be in play. The other option if you do not have the Speed mods is a fast Critical Damage set, but either way a CD-focused triangle and Offense-focused plus/cross mod are both a must. The Health and Defense recommendations are based on the assumption that she will be under a Great Mothers lead and alongside Morgan Elsbeth, so if not using her with the GM, you will not get the Health and Defense boosts that we recommend you build on. Note that Morgan Elsbeth also boosts her Nightsister allies which plays into these recommendations quite nicely.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
The developers of SWGoH have recommended Critical Damage and Critical Chance mods on the Nightsister Acolyte since the dev recommendations were first added in-game. I don’t hate the recommendations by EA Capital Games, but I lean more toward a Speed set given the amount of farming of Speed mods that is needed in SWGoH as it is. Here is what I am recommending for the best mods for Nightsister Acolyte:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Nightsister Acolyte, you want to use a SPEED or CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, offense, CC, health or defense.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Nightsister Acolyte, you want to use a SPEED or CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on critical chance, offense, health and defense.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Nightsister Acolyte, you want to use a HEALTH or CRITICAL CHANCE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, offense, CC, health or defense.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Nightsister Acolyte, you want to use a SPEED or CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, CC, health and offense or defense.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, and the Nightsister Acolyte benefits more from a higher Health stat than Protection, so use a – HEALTH or CRITICAL CHANCE mod with a health primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, offense, CC and defense.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Nightsister Acolyte, you want to use a SPEED or CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with an offense focus, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, CC, offense and health or defense.
