Yet another new Pirate unit joins Galaxy of Heroes and it is time to review the best mods for Quiggold. During my time at Gaming Fans I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. While I enjoyed our brief time with a communicative Capital Games consistently working myself and the other SWGoH GameChangers, there was an inability to support that level of community engagement from within CG, so I became just another member of the community, only with a bit more of a public voice. Now that my days with Gaming Fans are well behind me, I will seek to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods in SWGoH” series today with the Best Mods for Quiggold.
The first Pirate Tank in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, Quiggold is apparently the First Mate of Captain Ithano in the Star Wars Universe. A Marquee character who joined the game in mid-July 2025, Quiggold is joined by Ithano, SM-33 and Kix as one of nine new Pirate characters, all needed to unlock Galactic Legend Hondo Ohnaka. In the game, Quiggold is a Dark Side Tank and a member of the Scoundrel and Pirate factions. Let’s take a look at how we want to focus the mod stat gains for Quiggold in Galaxy of Heroes.

Main Mod Stats to focus on…
As the Tank on this initial Pirate team, Quiggold is built soak up attacks and protect his teammates. Typically, you want your Tank characters high in Health, Protection, Defense, Critical Avoidance and/or Tenacity, with each character having slightly different strengths and weaknesses. For Quiggold, you want him high in all of these as he has specific callouts for Defense (Special & Unique), Health (Unique) & Protection (Unique). In addition, with a Top 20 Max Health, a Top 10 Armor stat and the highest base Protection stat in the game, building on these high numbers is wise to ensure he is as effective as possible on this new Pirate team led by Maz Kanata. You also want Quiggold to have strong Potency gains from mods as both his basic and special can apply impactful debuffs.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations for Quiggold
While the devs have stated that Health and Defense are the two mod sets to go after for Quiggold, I highly suggest you do not ignore the importance of Potency for this character. The top Kyber competitors in the game are going with two sets of Health mods and a Defense set, and I am as well. Here are my recommendations for the best mods for Quiggold:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense.
- Recommended Mod Type: Health
- Recommended Secondary Stats: protection, speed, defense and potency
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense.
- Recommended Mod Type: Health mod, Protection focus
- Recommended Secondary Stats: speed, defense, potency and health or protection
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense.

- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense.
