Today’s Best Mods article will focus on The Stranger, the prize of the final Conquest season of 2025. During my time with Gaming Fans I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. While my days with Gaming Fans are well behind me, I have been writing mod guides like this one since the early days of mods when they were added to SWGoH in 2018. Fortunately, writing these mod guides continues to be a way for me to continue to enjoy Galaxy of Heroes now that I have been playing this game for over a decade. I will seek to keep the same high quality content going as I continue the “best mods in SWGoH” series today with the Best Mods for The Stranger.
The Stranger is a January 2026 addition to SWGoH as the prize from the final Conquest season of 2025. Known in The Acolyte series as Qimir while disguising his true identity, The Stranger is a Dark Side Attacker in SWGoH with a Leader ability and is a member of the Sith faction. At this time, we will take a look at what mod stat gains to use on The Stranger to maximize him on your roster.
Note that I have learned that I get a bit wordy in these Best Mods articles, so as a result the TL;DR on mods for The Stranger is below. Also, I added a new(er) format on the recommendations below which I hope will help make these best mods articles easier to decipher.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
A quick look at his base stats and kit shows right away that The Stranger will need solid offense from mod secondaries and will rely on critical hits. Maxed out (currently Relic 10) he has a 102.83% Physical Critical Chance stat, so the CC/CD combo is in play, but he also has +35% Offense from his Unique. Looking at his specific abilities, his basic grants him +50 Speed the first time the ability is used, plus another +1 Speed for each Relic level for each additional use (Max 50 triggers), so at Relic 5 this could add 5 Speed up to 10 additional times. Add to this that “During his turn, if The Stranger has 250 Speed more than the target enemy, instantly defeat the target enemy (once per battle), which can’t be evaded,” so yeah, Speed is kind of important. Potency will help him land important debuffs as The Stranger can apply Tenacity Down, Expose and Stun. His special, An Acolyte Kills the Dream, reads “Gain 50% Max Health the first time this ability is used and 5% Max Health each subsequent use (stacking) for the rest of battle.” Thus, Health will be a major focus for The Stranger’s survivability.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations for The Stranger
For The Stranger I can see this going a few different directions. An argument can be made for all three of the 4-mod sets – CD, Speed & Offense. However, I feel the Speed piece is the most important of the trio thanks to this line – “During his turn, if The Stranger has 250 Speed more than the target enemy, instantly defeat the target enemy (once per battle), which can’t be evaded.” As a result, I am going with a Speed set of 4 and a set of 2 Health mods. Thus, here is a look at my recommendations for The Stranger mods in SWGoH:
