The latest new Pirate addition to Galaxy of Heroes is here, so today it is time to review mods for Captain Silvo in SWGoH. During my time with Gaming Fans I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. While my days with Gaming Fans are well behind me, writing these mod guides continues to be a way for me to continue to enjoy Galaxy of Heroes, now almost a decade since I started playing. I will seek to keep the same high quality content going as I continue the “best mods in SWGoH” series today with the Best Mods for Captain Silvo.
The newest character in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, Captain Silvo is a Marquee character who joined the game in early September 2025. A member of the new Pirate faction, Captain Silvo is a required character to unlock Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka, needed at Relic 7. Captain Silvo is one of nine new Pirate characters in the game, starting with SM-33 and culminating in the release of the latest Galactic Legend in Galaxy of Heroes. A Dark Side Support character, Captain Silvo has a Leader ability and is a Pirate, Scoundrel and Unaligned Force User with a primary role in the Order 66 Raid. Let’s take a look at how we want to focus the mod stat gains for Captain Silvo in Galaxy of Heroes.
Note that I have learned that I get a bit wordy in these Best Mods articles, so as a result the TL;DR on mods for Captain Silvo is below. Also, I added a new(er) format on the recommendations below which I hop will help make these best mods articles easier to decipher.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
Captain Silvo is one of the mainstays of the Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka team, so modding his properly is important. Luckily, he is a very straightforward character in terms of the Dev recommendations as they say use a Health set and a Speed set and this is what the top players in Kyber use, this is what I have done, and it seems to be spot-on. What is not straightforward is the way Captain Silvo’s kit works as it has a lot of “if then” scenarios. Just know that adding Health benefits Captain Silvo from healing and stacking Max Health gains, and the Speed allows him to take his turns and steal buffs from enemies. I would add Potency as well to apply the Stagger and Evasion Down debuffs. Also note that adding Defense and Tenacity will be compounded by Pirate King Hondo’s leader ability, so a little extra here is never a bad idea.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations for Captain Silvo
The devs have stated that Health and Speed are the two mod sets to go after for Captain Silvo and I agree 100%. Here are my recommendations for the best mods for the Captain Silvo:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense.
- Recommended Mod Type: Speed
- Recommended Secondary Stats: speed, health, offense, potency or defense
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense.
- Recommended Mod Type: Health mod, Speed focus
- Recommended Secondary Stats: health, offense, potency and defense
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense.
- Recommended Mod Type: Speed
- Recommended Secondary Stats: speed, health, offense, potency or defense
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense.

- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection.
