As I continue to review how the Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes community consumes their content, I was always able to carve out a niche while at Gaming-fans.com with the Best Mods guides. Now that those days are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I work to update the best SWGoH mods series to 2025 standards. While many older characters do not call for drastic mod strategy changes, the addition of new characters and Datacrons can change the way we use them or greatly enhance one stat over another. As a result, I am expanding upon the traditional per-character mods guide and allowing those to be the more in-depth guides while adding the following, a faction-based TL;DR of sorts for those who do not like all of my words and just want to know how to quickly mod their characters, one faction at a time.
Today I cover Bad Batch mods for the new characters in this faction, all added in early 2025. A team of the main characters of the final season of The Bad Batch series, this is one of the few teams added to SWGoH without a Legendary or big-time event character included. Each Bad Batch character’s specific mods can be found in the links below, and of course, these are mod recommendations based on the character’s kit and actual gameplay to help you in your quest to dominate the Galaxy of Heroes holotables, and they are subject to change as new information becomes available.
Hunter (Mercenary) – With a base speed of 192, there’s no reason to out think the room with turn order here. A speed set of 4 mods on Hunter (Mercenary) will ensure he takes the first turn on this team to get them rolling and land Marked on an enemy with his Take a Shot special.
Batcher – I have Batcher taking the second turn on the new Bad Batch team using mods to enhance her base speed of 184. Early on I am testing having Batcher use her basic in her first turn on the enemy Marked by Hunter (Mercenary) to debuff the enemy and gain Speed Up before Omega (Fugitive)’s turn.
Omega (Fugitive) – While Omega (Fugitive) has a poor 137 base speed, she has +50 speed from her unique, making her slightly faster than Batcher but harder to regulate speed for. This is because speed mods will only award 10% of the base 137 number, not off the 187 after the unique boost is factored in. I have Omega Fugitive taking the third turn on this team as a result, where she can buff them to make them more effective.
Crosshair (Scarred) – A major damage dealer who needs to shake off the Shaken debuff to start each battle, Crosshair’s base speed of 162 fits into this team just right. Modding Crosshair (Scarred) should be fairly straightforward given he is an Attacker, boosting his Offense and Critical Chance so he can hit harder.
Wrecker (Mercenary) – The taunting tank on this team (again), Wrecker (Mercenary) has a base speed of 158 and is taking the 5th turn on my Bad Batch 2025 team. You want your tanks thick and able to resist debuffs, so Health, Protection, Defense and Tenacity are the way to go with this new Wrecker character, with the stronger focus on Health and Tenacity.
When reviewing Bad Batch mods in SWGoH, there is no perfect formula, but I am hopeful that this guide will help players all across the globe in their goals to dominate the holotables in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.
