Welcome to the Best Mods for Crosshair (Scarred) article, the latest in my series of “best SWGoH mods articles” which put my old site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. Over the years I have written literally hundreds of mod guides, including almost all of the original best mods guides over at Gaming-fans.com. Now that my days with Gaming Fans are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today with the Best Mods for Wrecker (Mercenary).
The newest character in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, Crosshair (Scarred) is the 5th and final (for now) member of the new Bad Batch team released in 2025, joining the leader, Omega (Fugitive), Batcher, Wrecker (Mercenary) and Hunter (Mercenary). As always, I have written mods guides for each of these new Bad Batch characters, but I also started faction-specific articles to help users out at a higher level. So if a best mods for the Bad Batch piece will help you out feel free to check it out. In Galaxy of Heroes, Crosshair (Scarred) is a Light Side Attacker who is a member of the Bad Batch faction, but not the Clone Trooper faction… Let’s take a look at the mods and stats to enhance Crosshair (Scarred) in SWGoH.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Crosshair (Scarred), it is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
If you look closely at the base stats for Crosshair (Scarred) you find that is Speed is average, his Max Health is the 11th lowest in SWGoH, and his base Protection is moderate. A dealer of Physical Damage, Crosshair has a Top-20 Physical Damage stat, average Physical Critical Chance, Armor Penetration and Potency. His unique starts him in battle with the Shaken debuff which impacts his Accuracy, so it will be interesting to see if an Accuracy arrow could be beneficial, but testing is needed to be sure. Another item to note is his bade Armor stat is not awesome, but is in the top 30% of the game. With his unique adding +200% Defense for 3 turns to start each battle, this is one survivability stat that could be built on.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations for Crosshair (Scarred):
Looking at Crosshair (Scarred)’s base stats, this is a character that screams Offense set to me. With a relatively average to low CC, at higher Relic levels I could see where CC and CD could be in play, especially factoring in Omega (Fugitive)’s lead, but I am leaning toward heavy Offense and a CD-focused triangle. The devs at EA Capital Games are right in line with my thoughts, suggesting Offense and Critical Chance mod sets for the Scarred version of Crosshair. With all of that noted, here is what I am recommending for the best mods for the new Crosshair (Scarred):
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Crosshair (Scarred), you want to use a DEFENSE/CRITICAL CHANCE mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, offense, defense and potency or protection.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Crosshair (Scarred), you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a primary focus on either Speed and a secondary focus on offense, critical chance, defense and potency or a Accuracy primary and a secondary focus on speed, offense, defense and critical chance.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Crosshair (Scarred), you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, offense, defense and potency or protection.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Crosshair (Scarred), you want to use a DEFENSE/CRITICAL CHANCE mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, offense, defense and potency or protection.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, so use an OFFENSE mod with a Protection primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, offense, defense and potency or protection.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Crosshair (Scarred), you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a Offense focus, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, offense, defense and potency or protection.
