Welcome to the Best Mods for Sith Trooper article, the latest in my series of “best mods in SWGoH” articles which put my old site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. Over the years I have written literally hundreds of mod guides, including almost all of the original best mods guides over at Gaming-fans.com. Now that my days with Gaming Fans are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today with the Best Mods for Sith Trooper.
Added in Galaxy of Heroes in December 2019 just before The Rise of Skywalker, Sith Trooper is an important part of the Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (SLKR) First Order team and pilots possibly the most important ship in the game in November 2024 – the TIE Dagger (aka the TIE Dorito). Sith Trooper is the red-armored First Order and Sith character and should not be confused with the Sith Empire Trooper who carried the name Sith Trooper for years in Star Wars lore before this guy was manufactured for a bad movie storyline. In SWGoH, the Sith Trooper is a Dark Side Attacker, and as I mentioned, a member of the Sith and First Order factions, so let’s take al look at how mods will have the most impact for this character and his ship.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Sith Trooper, it is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
On the aforementioned Supreme Leader Kylo Ren team, Sith Trooper gets a lot of play in my game in the Grand Arena Championships, Territory Wars and the RoTE Territory Battle, and thanks to recent changes by EA Capital Games with the Leviathan fleet, the Sith Trooper’s ship has gained significant importance, out-of-the-blue. While you do not need specific mods to help the TIE Dagger statistically, slicing the mods to the max levels (6 dots, gold) is how you enhance the ship for Fleet battles.
Back to the Sith Trooper himself, with the First Order team being built around the Advantage buff, critical hits will be plentiful. Because of this added Critical Damage is a definite from the triangle mod and a CD set should definitely be considered if you have the depth in your mod inventory. Sith Trooper assists on critical hits and stuns, and with all of these extra attacks, added offense is also near the top of the list. Speed is always relevant with attackers in SWGoH, and while the assists will not be impacted by Speed, getting to the next turn to cleanse his allies and attack again is always important, so look to add some significant speed from the secondary stats. Finally, Tenacity is helpful to keep debuffs away so that Sith Trooper can land the AoE attacks and cleanse his allies.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
While the developers at EA Capital Games are recommending Critical Damage and Tenacity mods, I have modded my Sith Trooper a bit differently while still looking to achieve many of the same stat goals. The use of an Offense set can easily be interchangeable with a Critical Damage set, and a Tenacity set can always be counteracted with another 2-mod set with high Tenacity stats. With all of this in mind, here is what I am recommending for the best mods for the red Sith Trooper:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Sith Trooper, you want to use a HEALTH/TENACITY mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on offense, speed, critical chance and health or tenacity.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Sith Trooper, you want to use a OFFENSE/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on offense and a secondary focus on speed, offense, critical chance and health or tenacity.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Sith Trooper, you want to use a OFFENSE/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, CC, offense and health or tenacity.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Sith Trooper, you want to use a OFFENSE/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, CC, offense and health or tenacity.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, so use a OFFENSE/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod and either focus should be fine for the Sith Trooper. The secondary focus stats should be speed, offense, critical chance and health or tenacity.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Sith Trooper, you want to use a HEALTH/TENACITY mod here with an Offense or Tenacity focus, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, offense, critical chance and health or tenacity.
