The latest version of Luke Skywalker and the first Era Unit Character in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes is here in the form of Stormtrooper Luke. During my time with Gaming Fans I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. While my days with Gaming Fans are well behind me, I have been writing mod guides like this one since the early days of mods when they were added to SWGoH in 2018. Fortunately, writing these mod guides continues to be a way for me to continue to enjoy Galaxy of Heroes now that I have been playing this game for over a decade. I will seek to keep the same high quality content going as I continue the “best mods in SWGoH” series today with the Best Mods for Stormtrooper Luke.
The newest character in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, Stormtrooper Luke is an Era Unit Marquee character who joined the game in November 2025. Stormtrooper Luke is a Light Side Support character who has a Leader ability and fits into the Rebel faction. Let’s take a look at how we want to focus the mod stat gains for Stormtrooper Luke in Galaxy of Heroes.
Note that I have learned that I get a bit wordy in these Best Mods articles, so as a result the TL;DR on mods for Stormtrooper Luke is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
Stormtrooper Luke is the first Era Unit in the new cadence of new character additions in SWGoH. Used initially in the new Coliseum game mode, Stormtrooper Luke is at the center of all of the feedback & criticism of Coliseum in SWGoH. Stats to consider for Stormtrooper Luke include Potency to help make his Basic and Where Could He Be? special more effective. If used as a Leader, Stormtrooper Luke can add 10-30% CC, CD, Defense, Health and Protection to Rebel allies, and another 100% Defense when Rebel allies are above 50% Health. His unique also has the ability to add Protection Up, so keeping his Health stat high is key given Health is the stat that directly impacts Protection Up in SWGoH. Note that he does have a 1.58 score for Tenacity, basically 158% Tenacity when maxed out, second in SWGoH only behind Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka, so he should be great at resisting debuffs already with little need for more Tenacity from mod sets.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations for Stormtrooper Luke
The way these new Era Units are added to the game, we will not have any ability to use them for about 90 days from the start of the Era outside of the Coliseum game mode. As a result of this, it will be 2026 before Stormtrooper Luke is available to use in other areas of SWGoH, and we will not be able to add mods to this new character for quite some time. When the devs chime in with their mod recommendations, I will gladly compare and make any needed adjustments, but until then, here are my recommendations for the best mods for Stormtrooper Luke when the day comes that we can indeed use mods on the first Era Unit in the game. For what it is worth, I am liking Stormtrooper Luke’s Support role, and as a result my thoughts are defensive/survivability focused (for now). Here are my recommendations for the best mods for Stormtrooper Luke:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Stormtrooper Luke, you want to use a HEALTH mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, defense, health and potency.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Stormtrooper Luke you want to use an POTENCY mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on potency, health and defense.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Stormtrooper Luke, you want to use a POTENCY mod here with a secondary focus on speed, defense, health and potency.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Stormtrooper Luke, you want to use a DEFENSE mod here with a primary focus on health and a secondary focus on speed, defense, health and potency.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, and for Stormtrooper Luke go with a HEALTH mod with a health focus for the primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, defense, health and potency.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense or offense. For Stormtrooper Luke, you want to use a DEFENSE mod here with a focus on tenacity, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats look to add speed, defense, health and potency.
