Today I start the Best Mods for the latest iteration of Rey in SWGoH, Rey (Dark Side Vision), the prize of the latest season of Conquest in Galaxy of Heroes (at the time of this writing). Years ago I launched Gaming-fans.com and started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. As a member of the SWGoH GameChangers, the Website got even more attention as I attempted to expand into other areas of the game and even other games, constantly struggling to find the balance in the Force needed to do so. While my days with Gaming-fans.com are now behind me, I am working to keep building on what I saw as my strength all along – the “best mods in SWGoH” series as today I review the Best Mods for Rey (Dark Side Vision) in SWGoH.
The lifter unit for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren and a Conquest prize, Rey (Dark Side Vision) is a Dark Side, First Order and Sith member in SWGoH who was briefly seen in a vision inside the wreckage of a Star Destroyer in Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. She is a dealer of Physical Damage who can attack multiple times, but overall has pretty middle-of-the-road stats. However, thanks to her unique, her average Max Health stat is doubled and puts her in the upper echelon of SWGoH characters when it comes to Health. While one would think a First Order lifter unit would help Supreme Leader Kylo Ren get around taunt more easily, that is not how Rey DSV is built. Let’s take a look at how mods will best enhance Rey (Dark Side Vision)’s kit to get the most of this Conquest character.
A quick note. If I am too wordy for you, as I have learned I can be a bit a bit long-winded at times, check out the new Best Mods for Rey (Dark Side Vision) TL;DR that I have added below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
Rey (Dark Side Vision) has +25% Critical Chance and +25% Critical Damage from her unique, Don’t Be Afraid of Who You Are, so building on these stat increases is a wise move. Until she is in-game and we can test her, a lot remains to be seen, but as a dealer of Physical Damage her base Physical CC is pretty high so adding some CC from mods, without going too crazy, will help her crit more often and a CD-focused triangle is almost a definite. As with any high-offense character, making them as fast as possible is a good move meaning a speed set could be an option if you do not go with a CD set, and with a base Speed of 174 I suggest a speed set, as her unique grants her +50% Speed when debuffed. Because she likes CC and CD, any added offense from the secondary stats is a must. Her second unique bumps her Max Health by an additional +100%, so plan on high health percentage gains or even a health set as well.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
While the developers and I tend to agree on new characters, we now know what the developers at EA Capital Games are suggesting for Rey (Dark Side Vision) and I am pleased to see that we were thinking along the same lines. When looking at mods for Rey (Dark Side Vision), the people who designed her character are suggesting a CD set and a CC set. This character’s kit, at least on paper (digital screen), looks to be amazing for SLKR, possibly vaulting him atop the list of Galactic Legends in the game. As I stated when I wrote this weeks before the release of this version of Rey, either a CD or speed set will take up four of your mod slots and either a CC or health set for the other two, making sure to boost the correct stats throughout. Based on all of this, my mod recommendations for Rey (Dark Side Vision) look like this:
-
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Rey (Dark Side Vision), you want to use a SPEED/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, health, critical chance and offense.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Rey (Dark Side Vision), you want to use a HEALTH mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on health, offense and critical chance.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Rey (Dark Side Vision), you want to use a SPEED/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, health, critical chance and offense.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Rey (Dark Side Vision), you want to use a HEALTH mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, critical chance, health and offense.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, and Rey (Dark Side Vision) gains more from a high Health stat, so use a SPEED/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod with a Health primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, health, critical chance and offense.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Rey (Dark Side Vision), you want to use a SPEED/CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a focus on Health or Offense, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, critical chance, health and offense.
