As more characters are added to SWGoH, we cannot ignore how older characters are impacted and how the game continues to evolve. Today I take a look at a character we have had for a few years now in Galaxy of Heroes, Jedi Kelleran Beq. Years ago I launched Gaming-fans.com and started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. As a member of the SWGoH GameChangers, the Website got even more attention as I attempted to expand into other areas of the game and even other games, constantly struggling to find the balance in the Force needed to do so. While my days with Gaming-fans.com are now behind me, I am working to keep building on what I saw as my strength all along – the “best mods in SWGoH” series as today I review the Best Mods for Kelleran Beq in SWGoH.
A Light Side Attacker who typically leads Galactic Republic Jedi in SWGoH, Kelleran Beq was added to Galaxy of Heroes in December 2023 during the content expansion around The Mandalorian, Season 3. He is an eligible character on a Galactic Republic Jedi team as a leader on one of the best teams in the Battle of Naboo Raid, but he has many uses in other game modes including Territory Battles, Territory Wars, Conquest, GAC, Galactic Challenges and more. With the addition Jocasta Nu and the Jedi Vanguard faction, Beq may have even more uses around the corner in 2025.

Main Mod Stats to focus on…
Kelleran Beq has a very unique kit in Galaxy of Heroes that relies heavily on gaining stacks of Padawan Lessons, which are gained based off of his own Max Protection. Each stack of Padawan Lessons then grants Beq +5% Offense and +20 Defense Penetration, so you really can ignore Offense and instead focus on adding more Protection to therefore add both survivability and offense at the same time.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
As I have said many times before, the developers and I tend to agree on new characters. Kelleran Beq has recommendations of Speed & Health sets, which is exactly how I have him modded. However, some mod builds focus completely on using Health mods to then convert that Health into Max Protection per his unique, The Sabered Hand. Using Speed mods with high health and protection secondary stats can also help accomplish the goal to build Kelleran Beq up. Which ever way you choose to mod Kelleran Beq, understanding the unique and how Protection impacts Offense for this character is key. Here is what I am recommending for the best mods for Kelleran Beq:

- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Kelleran Beq, you want to use a SPEED/HEALTH mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, health, protection and tenacity.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Kelleran Beq, you want to use a or SPEED/HEALTH mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on health, protection, critical chance and tenacity.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Kelleran Beq, you want to use a SPEED/HEALTH mod here with a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and critical chance.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Kelleran Beq, you want to use a HEALTH mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and critical chance or tenacity.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, and while Kelleran Beq benefits from both stats, Health is a bit more valuable, so use a SPEED/HEALTH mod with a primary focus on health or protection and a secondary focus on speed, health, protection and critical chance or tenacity.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Kelleran Beq, you want to use a HEALTH mod here with a focus on Health or Protection, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, health, protection and critical chance or tenacity.
