While there were a variety of items addressed in today’s SWGoH notes from EA Capital Games, there are two big items to address. To start, Wrecker (Mercenary) is the next character coming to Galaxy of Heroes and his kit has been released. In addition to being a tank who takes the damage for the 2025 Bad Batch faction, he can dispel debuffs from a single ally when using his basic, sounding similar to Barriss Offee, and he can alter enemy turn meter. Wrecker will team up with the newly-added Hunter (Mercenary), Omega (Fugitive), Batcher and eventually Crosshair to form the new Bad Batch squad. We have almost a week before Wrecker (Mercenary) is available in-game as this new SWGoH character‘s Marquee event begins on February 25th.
The second big piece of news is the addition of an Omicron upgrade to Zaalbar for the Grand Arena. Best yet, it has a different function in both 5v5 GAC and 3v3 GAC modes. In 5v5 GAC, Zaalbar boosts a Light Side Old Republic team significantly, but in 3v3 he teams with Darth Reva and Mission Vao for one of the more interesting teams you will find in SWGoH. While this puts more of an emphasis on Tenacity when looking at Zaalbar mods, at least he can keep the same mods throughout different game modes.
