Welcome to the Best Mods for Batcher article, the latest in my series of “best mods in SWGoH” articles which put my old site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. Over the years I have written literally hundreds of mod guides, including almost all of the original best mods guides over at Gaming-fans.com. Now that my days with Gaming Fans are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today with the Best Mods for Batcher.
Batcher, who most thought was named “Betcha” thanks to Omega’s accent in Season 3 of The Bad Batch, is the pet that Omega (Fugitive) takes in during the season and assists the team throughout the season. The developers at EA Capital Games “considered Batcher as a Summon for Omega, but felt her role on the team was worthy of being a standalone unit.” In SWGoH, Batcher is a Light Side character in the Bad Batch faction. Let’s take a look at the mods and stats to enhance Batcher in SWGoH.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Batcher, it is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
Batcher is a character that has a strong base Speed of 184 and base Potency of 136% at Gear 13, and we always say to enhance the strengths of the character when choosing good mods in SWGoH. She can apply debuffs with all of her abilities and grants Bad Batch allies 30% Offense for 2 turns on her Piercing Howl special, and thanks to +50 Speed when any Bad Batch ally is Captive thanks to her unique, a Speed set and a Potency set are the first two thoughts I have for Batcher. One stat that can get lost is Offense with Batcher, as her base Physical Damage does not jump off the page, but when you factor in Omega (Fugitive)’s leader ability and Batcher’s unique with +50% Offense when any Bad Batch ally is held Captive, her Physical Damage number suddenly vaults up near the top of the SWGoH world.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
Looking at Batcher’s base stats it appears that this character is going to fit in nicely with this new Bad Batch team alongside Omega (Fugitive). While I considered an Offense set, her Physical Damage is just too average in those times when there are no Captive Bad Batch members. Thus, the Speed set feels like a better fit and added potency will make her exceptionally high Potency stat force those debuffs to “stick” to her enemies. As a result of all of this, here is what I am recommending for the best mods for the new Bad Batch pet/member Batcher:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Batcher, you want to use a POTENCY mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, potency, offense and health.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Batcher, you want to use a SPEED mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on offense, potency, health and protection.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Batcher, you want to use a SPEED mod here with a secondary focus on speed, potency & offense with any added health/protection possible.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Batcher, you want to use a SPEED mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, potency & offense with any added health/protection possible.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, so use an POTENCY mod with a Protection primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, potency & offense with any added health/protection possible.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Batcher, you want to use a SPEED mod here with an Offense focus, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, potency & offense with any added health/protection possible.
