Imperial Remnant - SWGoH

SWGoH: RotE Territory Battle – Mandalore DTMG Combat Mission walkthrough & tips

Posted on July 18, 2024April 7, 2025 by ljcool110

The Rise of the Empire Territory Battle was added in Galaxy of Heroes in late 2022 and features Light Side, Dark Side and Neutral paths. Featuring six phases which last 24 hours each, the Rise of the Empire Territory Battle has new territories (planets) that can be unlocked by meeting certain criteria. The second of these in the RotE Territory Battle is the ability to unlock Mandalore, the home planet of the Mandalorians, introduced in-game in May 2024.

After unlocking Mandalore in SWGoH, the following is a Walkthrough of my experiences in the Phase 4 Mandalore combat mission with Dark Trooper Moff Gideon required. My strong recommendation is to fight this with Imperial Remnant characters only and it is beatable with consistency at Relic 8 for all five characters listed below as we continue to review the best teams for the RotE Territory Battle in SWGoH.

DTMG Combat Mission Walkthrough & Tips

06.27.24 – While this battle is heavier on RNG than most, here is what works (most of the time) for me. I am getting max points in this battle about 75% of the time and I expect that will get better now that I have the strategy down. I used standard mods on each character except for Dark Trooper Moff Gideon who I remod for this battle. While it goes against some of his kit, I remodeled him for very high health, armor and resistance. More specific details are now live in the Best Mods for Dark Trooper Moff Gideon article that I just updated here on StarWars-fans.com.

Dark Trooper Moff Gideon leads an Imperial Remnant team with Moff Gideon, Scout Trooper, Dark Trooper and Stormtrooper. Key to this battle is DTMG’s ability to taunt and revive downed allies, but using the taunt correctly is important. Because of Maul’s ability to attack over and over again, you cannot afford to let DTMG die so you need him as beefy as possible, you need the ability to dispel debuffs from Scout Trooper ready and used strategically, and the taunt from Stormtrooper helps lessen the attacks on DTMG when used in tandem. Because the enemies change who is taunting often, it is hard to find a single character to focus in on, but I still do my best to remove Canderous Ordo’s offense from the board as soon as possible. Utilizing Death Trooper’s Daze on basic and Moff Gideon’s ability to apply Daze as well can allow you to get a few helpful Stuns in to ensure you survive the wave. Be sure to save Death Trooper’s third ability as once you have your first kill you can use it to apply Deathmark – a critical piece to surviving this first wave and battle as a whole. Deathmark is great to kill off Maul early and I usually wait to kill Jango Fett later with the second Deathmark of the wave since he cannot revive as a result.

The second wave is against Bo-Katan (Mand’alor) and a full team of Light Side Mandalorians. I focus in right away on Bo-Katan (Mand’alor) and try to work around Paz Vizsla’s taunts and utilize the same strategy as the first wave. Save the Deathmark for after the first kill, hopefully Bo-Katan (Mand’alor), and then use it to eliminate Paz Vizsla as he is thick and hard to kill otherwise. From here I always leave IG-12 & Grogu since they cannot stay on the battlefield without allies, so I kill the others first.
