Padawan Obi-Wan - SWGoH

SWGoH: Best Mods for Padawan Obi-Wan

Posted on May 11, 2024February 8, 2025 by ljcool110

Years ago I launched Gaming-fans.com and started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. As a member of the SWGoH GameChangers, the Website got even more attention as I attempted to expand into other areas of the game and even other games, constantly struggling to find the balance in the Force needed to do so. While my days with Gaming-fans.com are now behind me, I am working to keep building on what I saw as my strength all along – the “best mods in SWGoH” series as today I review the Best Mods for Padawan Obi-Wan in SWGoH.

Here is the SWGoH explanation of Padawan Obi-Wan: “Disciplined Attacker who utilizes years of Jedi training to protect his allies and overwhelm his foes.” Meant to be used alongside Queen Amidala and Master Qui-Gon, Padawan Obi-Wan is a strong Attacker who can apply important debuffs to give you an edge in battle, but lacks any eye-popping stats other than his 70% Health Steal, the second highest in the game. However, used under a Queen Amidala lead, expect Padawan Obi-Wan to be quite difficult to kill and annoying to face. In his The Phantom Menace form from Episode I, Padawan Obi-Wan is a Jedi Attacker and a member of the Galactic Republic faction in SWGoH.

A quick note. If I am too wordy for you, as I have learned I can be a bit a bit long-winded at times, check out the new Best Mods for Padawan Obi-Wan TL;DR that I have added below.

Main Mod Stats to focus on…

For Padawan Obi-Wan he is meant to be an Attacker, and you typically want your Attackers fast and offensive. While speed is not as essential with POW, he has solid Physical Offense and Physical Crit stats and his CC and CD both scale with increased Relic levels, so it is clear that this is how the developers intended Padawan Obi-Wan in-game. He will certainly see most of his use under a Queen Amidala lead which grants allies +20% Defense, +15% Max Health and +15% Max Protection. Allies gain 3% CD (stacking) for each Heal Over Time and 3% Offense (stacking) for each Protection Over Time and they remove 5% of the enemy’s CD, Defense and Offense (up to 50%) when they critically hit an enemy. Because he is an Attacker, in the GAC he also gains Offense Up when an ally uses a Special ability as well.

When we talk about the Naboo Raid, Padawan Obi-Wan sits alongside Master Qui-Gon and likely R2-D2 under a Queen Amidala lead and I remodeled POW for significantly more offense helps to clear the B1 Battle Droids quicker. My POW has over 9k Physical Offense, 205.5% CD and over 300 speed at Relic 7.

Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations for Padawan Obi-Wan:

As I have said many times before, the developers and I rarely disagree on new characters. For Padawan Obi-Wan, the recommendations are a Critical Damage set and a Health set. Given the way Queen Amidala’s leadership works I feel like this makes perfect sense. After using him daily in his unlock event I can say that Padawan Obi-Wan will be a very good character in the game and I look forward to how he synergizes with Master Qui-Gon and Queen Amidala. Here is what I am recommending for the best mods for Padawan Obi-Wan:

    • Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Padawan Obi-Wan, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, protection, health and potency.
    • Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Padawan Obi-Wan, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on offense, potency and health, protection or critical chance.
    • Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Padawan Obi-Wan, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, offense and health, protection or critical chance.
    • Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Padawan Obi-Wan, you want to use a HEALTH mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, offense, potency and health.
    • Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, and Padawan Obi-Wan benefits greatly from a high Protection stat, so use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod with a Health primary. The secondary focus stats should be speed, offense and health, protection or critical chance.
    • Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Padawan Obi-Wan, you want to use a HEALTH mod here with a focus on Offense or Health, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, offense, protection and health or critical chance.

Best Mods for Padawan Obi-Wan TL;DR

  • Square – Critical Damage mod with speed & critical chance
  • Arrow – Critical Damage mod, Speed focus with offense, critical chance & potency
  • Diamond – Critical Damage mod with speed, critical chance & potency
  • Triangle – Health mod, Critical Damage focus with speed & health or protection
