Welcome to the Best Mods for Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, the latest in my series of “best mods in SWGoH” articles which put my old site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games. Over the years I have written literally hundreds of mod guides, including almost all of the original best mods guides over at Gaming-fans.com. Now that my days with Gaming Fans are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today covering one of the most well-know Star Wars characters of all-time with the Best Mods for Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.
A carrot that EA Capital Games dangled in front of the player base for years, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker was finally added to SWGoH in June of 2020, at the height of player discontent with Galaxy of Heroes. While JKLS is certainly not the best Jedi character in SWGoH, he remains one of the top Jedi to be used in counters for Galactic Legends, as well as in Territory Battles, Territory Wars, the GAC and more. In the game Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker is a Light Side Attacker who is a member of the Jedi faction. Let’s take a look at how to mod Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker to make him more effective in Galaxy of Heroes.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, it is below.

Main Mod Stats to focus on…
My Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker gets a lot of play in my game in the RoTE Territory Battle, as a leader in a Light Side battle using Jedi in almost every phase. When used as a leader JKLS is actually more effective once he takes his first turn as he locks in all enemies at his base Speed until the end of the encounter. This used to be reason for me to use a slow 165 speed build for JKLS, but as you up the Relic levels on JKLS and those he fights with, the need for (less) speed is not as high and remodding characters is one of the worst parts of the game. No matter how you use Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, upping his high Physical Damage stat is a must. Even today, more than 4 years since he was added to SWGoH, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker has the 4th-highest Physical Damage stat of all characters and the highest of all non-Galactic Legends, so use a strong Offense set to boost JKLS on the offensive side. For the other set, the devs say CC and I have a Health set on my JKLS. I cannot remember for certain, but I believe one of my old guilds had certain Health targets to hit with modding, and I went with the Health set as a result. What I do know is that I have two awesome Health mods on my JKLS, one with +26 speed, and the arrow with +179 Offense to boost Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker nicely. In addition to possibly adding Health, Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker has a Top 30 Max Protection stat, something that is well worth building on. Looking specifically at Critical Chance, at Gear 13 JKLS has just over 37% Physical CC which increases to 55.83% at Relic 7, so adding CC from the secondary mod stats is a must.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
The developers at EA Capital Games are recommending Offense and Critical Chance mods for Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker and I cannot see reason to disagree. The one thing I would throw out there is a Health set with high speed, offense and CC secondaries can accomplish as much, or more than a harder to get CC set, but this is entirely up to the player and their own mod inventory. With all of this in mind, here is what I am recommending for the best mods for Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, you want to use a HEALTH/CRITICAL CHANCE mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, offense, critical chance and health or protection.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, you want to use a HEALTH/CRITICAL CHANCE mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on offense, critical chance, health and protection.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, offense, critical chance and health or protection.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, offense, critical chance and health or protection.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, so use a OFFENSE mod with a focus on Protection because JKLS has such a high base Protection stat. The secondary focus stats should be speed, offense, critical chance and health or protection.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, you want to use a OFFENSE mod here with a Offense focus, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, offense, critical chance and health or protection.
