During my time at Gaming-fans.com I started the “best mods” series of articles which turned out to be what put the site on the radar of the community and with EA Capital Games where I wrote literally hundreds of mod guides, including the original best mods for Sabine Wren. While I enjoyed our brief time with a communicative Capital Games consistently working myself and the other SWGoH GameChangers, there was an inability to support that level of community engagement from within CG, so I became just another member of the community, only with a bit more of a public voice. Now that my days with Gaming-fans.com are behind me, I am working to keep the same kind of content going as I resume the “best mods” series today with the Best Mods for Sabine Wren.
Mandalorian Sabine Wren was added to Galaxy of Heroes as only a member of the Phoenix and Rebels factions, as the Mandalorian tag was not in-game until 2021. While her value has been a roller coaster in SWGoH, with the anticipated release of Galactic Legend Ahsoka Tano and the new Spectre tag, her value may increase again in the near future.
Note that I have been told that I can get a bit long-winded when writing these mod guides. As a result, if you simply want the TL;DR on how to mod Sabine Wren, it is below.
Main Mod Stats to focus on…
How you use Sabine is key to how much her stats are enhanced. When used with a full Phoenix squad under a Hera Syndulla lead, you gain all of the Unique abilities of all Phoenix members on her team. While there are many stats to review, given how valuable Captain Rex is and the number of options you could choose, knowing that Captain Rex grants 25% Critical Chance, 40% Max Health, 25 Speed and 40% Tenacity, and whenever a … Phoenix ally is inflicted with a debuff, Rex gains 5% Turn Meter per debuff and all allies recover 5% Health and Protection. In addition, Sabine’s own unique also boost CC as she has +25% Critical Chance and +25% Critical Damage. So it is clear that Sabine Wren will be a high CC and CD character, and you can take that advantage from great to awesome with CC and CD mod sets. Add in strong speed secondaries and some offense boosts and watch Sabine Wren do real damage on your squad and don’t forget Potency to help the debuffs stick and you will be in good shape.
Which Mod Sets to use & Dev Recommendations
The developers have the recommendations of Critical Chance and Critical Damage sets and they are correct. Getting Sabine to hit as hard as possible is the way to go, so here is what I am recommending for the best mods for Phoenix Mandalorian attacker Sabine Wren:
- Transmitter (Square) – The Transmitter mod always has a primary focus on offense. For Sabine Wren, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here and be sure to closely look at the secondary stats to ensure that you get a heavy secondary focus on speed, offense, potency and critical chance.
- Receiver (Arrow) – The Receiver mod can have a primary focus on several stats including speed, critical avoidance, accuracy, health, protection, defense and offense. For Sabine Wren, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on speed and a secondary focus on offense, potency, critical chance and health.
- Processor (Diamond) – The Processor is always going to have a primary focus on defense. For Sabine Wren, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a secondary focus on speed, health, potency and CC or offense.
- Holo-Array (Triangle) – The Holo-Array is a very specialized mod that can have a primary focus on critical chance, critical damage, health, protection, offense and defense. For Sabine Wren, you want to use a CRITICAL DAMAGE mod here with a primary focus on Critical Damage and a secondary focus on speed, potency, CC and offense or health.
- Data-Bus (Circle) – The Data-bus mod always has a primary focus on either health or protection, so use a CRITICAL CHANCE mod with a Health primary since Rex grants added Health to his Phoenix allies. The secondary focus stats should be speed, health, potency and offense or critical chance.
- Multiplexer (Plus) – The Multiplexer (plus or cross) mod can have a primary focus on potency, tenacity, health, protection, defense offense. For Sabine Wren, you want to use a CRITICAL CHANCE mod here with an Offense or Potency focus, making sure to have your mod sets complete. For the secondary stats, look to add speed, offense, potency and critical chance.
